Rosella Owens Taylor, 74, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away in her hometown of Kingsport, Tennessee, on February 22, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1951, in Kingsport, where her heart always remained. Rosella's vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and community were treasured by all who knew her.
Throughout her career, Rosella made her mark as a dedicated employee at Eastman Chemical Company from which she retired. Her commitment and hard work were evident in every task she undertook, earning her the admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
Rosella was proud of her involvement in various organizations that honored her heritage and connection to American history. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the U.S.D. 1812, and the Colonial Dames XVII Century. These memberships were not just affiliations but passions that she cherished deeply.
Family was the cornerstone of Rosella's life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Nastassia Taylor, and her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Oluchi Taylor. Her heart swelled with joy in the presence of her cherished grandchildren, Mila and Everleigh Taylor, who brought immense happiness and pride to her days. Rosella's legacy of love and strength will undoubtedly live on through them.
She is also remembered fondly by her dear aunt, Iva Nell McCracken, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Sherry Taylor, Glen Wolfe, Cathy and Ken Depew, and Judy Pippin and several nieces and nephews. In her passing, these family members share a profound sense of loss, holding in their hearts memories of laughter, warmth, and the indomitable spirit that Rosella brought to family gatherings.
Rosella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Donald "Don" Taylor, and she now joins him once more. She was also predeceased by her father, Elmer Chester Taylor, her sister, Brenda Wolfe, and her brother-in-law, Steve Taylor. They undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms, and their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A graveside service to celebrate Rosella's life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Pastor Roger Vineyard officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather at 10:50 AM at the cemetery, to honor the remarkable journey of a remarkable woman.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.

As we reflect on Rosella's life, we are reminded of her boundless love, her dedication to family, and her zest for life. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, for her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
