Ronald "Ron" Lane Estepp, born on September 21, 1950, in Kingsport, TN, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him.

A proud graduate of Gate City High School, Ron dedicated 30 years of his life to a fulfilling career at Eastman Chemical Company, where he was recognized as a certified welder. His passion for craftsmanship extended beyond his professional life; he loved woodworking and took great pride in building his family home. Ron's dedication to his craft was matched only by his love for cars, particularly his cherished 1969 Chevrolet truck, which he skillfully restored and showcased his eye for detail.

Ron was a devoted family man, whose greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones. He showered his family with kindness and support, always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. His daughters, Mandie Lane McClintock and her husband Larry, and Kari White and her husband Jeff, along with his sons, Brad Estepp and Ryan Gray and his wife Christina, will carry his spirit forward as they honor the values he embedded within them.

As a proud Poppy, Ron delighted in the laughter and joy of his grandchildren: Peyton Estepp and wife Raquel, Lake Meade, Carter Estepp, Whitney White Cox and her husband Parker, Nicholas McClintock and wife Katie, Xzavier McClintock and wife Sofia;  his great-grandchildren, Lennox Estepp and Tatum Estepp and soon to be great- granddaughter, Sadie Brooke Cox. Each moment spent with his family brought him unparalleled happiness, creating a treasure trove of memories that will be fondly remembered.

Beyond his family, Ron was known for his warmth, kindness, and great sense of humor. He enjoyed cheering on his beloved UT football and basketball teams, often surrounded by friends and family. His friendships, including those formed at NAPA, provided him with countless hours of laughter and camaraderie that he treasured deeply.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diane Clamon Estepp, along with his siblings, Annette Wolfe and her husband Terry, Melisa Collins and her husband Rick, and Jeff Estepp and his wife Robin, as well as sister-in-law, Karen Estepp. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom he held close to his heart.

Though Ron's departure leaves an irreplaceable void, the impact he had on the lives of many will endure. He was preceded in death by his father, Harmie Estepp, mother, Betty Estepp, granddaughter, Hayley White, and brother, Gwendell Estepp. These cherished souls await him once more, united in everlasting peace.

Ronald "Ron" Lane Estepp will be missed tremendously by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love and warmth will continue to inspire us, guiding our paths for years to come.

In keeping with Ron's wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time. The family will welcome visitors at their home.
