Paul "Jeff" Jeffrey Bailey

Paul Jeffrey Bailey, affectionately known to many as "Jeff," passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Kingsport, TN. Born on December 5, 1960, in Greeneville, TN, Jeff lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a heartfelt commitment to those he loved and served.

A respected contractor in the construction industry, Jeff built more than just structures; he built lasting relationships grounded in trust and sincerity. Those who knew him remember a man who was funny and really caring, exhibiting a selfless and content spirit throughout his life. His love extended deeply to animals, people, and his faith in Jesus, guiding him in both word and deed.

Outside of his professional life, Jeff found joy in simple yet profound pleasures. He was an avid horseman, finding peace and freedom while riding horses, and enjoyed quiet moments sitting on his porch, reflecting on life and savoring the beauty around him. Most importantly, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the heart of his existence.

Jeff is survived by his beloved son, Eric Bailey, and his cherished granddaughters, Kimber Bailey and Novalee Bailey, who brought immense joy to his later years. He also leaves behind his sister, Dianne Hicks; brothers Shannon Bailey and his wife Brooke; and a devoted circle of nieces and nephews, including Marty Starnes, Jamie Morrison, Justin Hicks, and Walker Gentry. Their love and memories will continue to be a testament to Jeff's enduring influence and the generosity of his spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Junior Bailey and Mary Inez Hammond Bailey, and his sister, Brenda Starnes, whose memories he held close to his heart.

A Celebration of Life for Jeff Bailey will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Midfield Freewill Baptist Church, 1801 Grandby Rd, Kingsport, TN. Friends and family are invited to come together in commemorating a man who touched many lives with his warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness.

Paul Jeffrey Bailey’s legacy is one of love, faith, and laughter—an example of how a life well lived leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who cross its path. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
