Patricia Kay Taylor, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this life on February 23, 2026, in Johnson City, TN. Born on November 6, 1951, in Kingsport, TN, Patricia was a vibrant spirit whose kindness and dedication touched the lives of many.
Patricia devoted her career to serving as a trainer in the telemarketing industry, where she nurtured countless employees with her patient guidance and infectious enthusiasm. Throughout her life, she was a steadfast member of Willow Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, finding solace and community in her faith.
Deeply involved in the Sullivan Recreation League, Patricia found joy in engaging with her community and fostering connections with others. Her passion extended to her cherished hobbies of quilting and creating beautiful Afghans, each stitch a testament to her creativity and caring nature. Patricia's quilts were known not just for their warmth but also for the love woven into each piece, often gifted to family and friends as tokens of her affection.
Patricia is survived by her son, Andy Taylor, and her daughter, Jennifer Susan Taylor. She was the proud grandmother of Devin Taylor, who brought immense joy to her life. Patricia's legacy also includes her cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Jan Gragg, Mike and Jorita Gragg, Joe and Chavela Gragg, along with several nieces and nephews, each carrying fond memories of their time with her.
Her heart, however, will always carry the memory of those she has lost. She is reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, Anthony Glen Taylor, who left this world before her. Patricia was also preceded in death by her father, George Rufus Gragg, and her mother, Clara Lee (Bowlin) Gragg. Their influence shaped the compassionate woman she became.
As we remember Patricia Kay Taylor, let us celebrate the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the warmth she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
In keeping with Patricia's wishes, she will be cremated and the family will have a private service to honor her memory.
