Mabel Pauline Shortridge Mullins

Mabel Mullins, age 93, passed away at her daughter’s home in Weber City, Virginia, after an extended illness. She was born in Grundy, Virginia and graduated from Grundy High School. She lived in Buchanan County until 2017. She was a member of Grundy Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Victor Mullins in 2020; her mother, Ora Ratliff; step-father, Dillard Ratliff; brothers, Harold Shortridge and Jerry Ratliff.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy McConnell and husband, Eddie; granddaughter, Sara Hodges and husband, Andy; grandson Seth McConnell and wife, Karina; great-grandchildren, Gabriella McConnell, Garrett Hodges, Carter Hodges, Kati Ann McConnell, and Ember Harper; brothers, Wesley Ratliff and wife, Shirley; and Randy Ratliff. She also appreciated her special caregiver, Kilene Nixon.

Graveside service will be held at a later date at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia.
