Georgia Carol Sluss

Georgia Carol Sluss, 66, of Rye Cove, VA, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 unexpectedly at her residence.

Carol was born February 16, 1960 to the late George and Maxie (Owens) Kerns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Kerns and her sister, Wanda Williams.

Left to cherish her memories are a very special friend and love of her life, Steve Brickey; her daughter, Bambi (Billy) Bowen, Rye Cove, VA; sisters, Dorothy McNew, Rye Cove, VA and Sue Dollen, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Junior Kerns, Robinette Valley, and Paul Kerns, Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and nephews; she also leaves behind her companion Whinney the Weenie dog.

Carol will be cremated and the family will have a celebration service at a later date.
