Earnie Meade

Earnest Daniel “Earnie” Meade, 82, of Kingsport, TN, entered into rest with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Earnie was born in Scott County, VA on February 14, 1943, a son of the late Ivyl and Nannie Meade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Beulah Fuller and Margaret Rose; brothers-in-law, Jim Murphy, Fred Stallard, Vincent Rose and SR Fuller.

Earnie retired from Rental Uniform. After retirement he enjoyed spending time on the farm and being with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Meade; children, Mitzi Sturgill (Paul), Craig Meade (Regina); grandchildren, Katie-Lynn Meade, Kelcie Meade, Austin Sturgill and Coty Sturgill (Ashley); sisters, Mary Addington (Roger), Bernice Melton (Jim) and Dorothy Stallard.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating and providing music. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 10:50 am at the cemetery for the graveside service.
