David Wayne McCracken

David Wayne McCracken, born March 16th, 1970, of Kingsport, TN went home to be with the Lord on September 9th, 2026 after a brief but brutal battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Rebecca McCracken, daughter Aimee McCracken, son David McCracken, father Jackie McCracken, sister Jackie Blankenship and husband Doug, brother Mark McCracken and wife Lisa, and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Duckworth McCracken, grandmother Mary Belle McCracken, and uncle Gene McCracken.

David was a dedicated provider, who worked over thirty years in the flooring industry. He was known for his faith, creativity, artistry, and sense of humor.

David described himself as a simple man. His wife and children describe him as a hard working man with a servant's heart who loved provided for and protected them fiercely.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 pm Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Valley of Hope Baptist Church, 2035 Gregory Rd, Kingsport, TN. Services will follow at 5:00 pm with Brother Ray Bledsoe and Brother Denny Hass officiating. Music will be provided by Lisa McCracken, Denny and Donna Hass.
