David Gene Fleenor

David Gene Fleenor, 69, of Piney Flats, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, February 9, 2026.

David was born in Gary, IN was a very outdoors man, loved da Bears and had the gift of talking to everyone we called it "fisherman's talk" and always brought vibrant discussions to all the he came across. His laughter was infectious and made all feel welcome. His faith in God made an impact on every person he met.

David is survived by his daughter Amanda Jo Anne Hansen (James Hansen); his son's Bruce David Fleenor (Shonna Fleenor) Joshua James Fleenor (Kristen Fleenor) and Michael Lawrence Fleenor (Tiffany Fleenor) and David's 9 grandchildren Bruce II, Dayton, Emma, Trace, Zane, Braeden, Mason, Wyatt, and Nya, his 4 sisters Sherry, Patsy, Linda, and Wanda; brother Steven and much, much more family. David was proceeded in God's grace by his parents Kanner and Barbara Fleenor and 2 sisters Lonny and Beverly.

Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Woodland Hills Seventh-day Adventists Church, 3040 SE 72nd St, Runnells, IA 50237.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s memory may be made to the Woodland Hills Seventh-day Adventists Church, 3040 SE 72nd St, Runnells, IA 50237. or to the family.
